...starting with your food choices. Most of us have something we are actively battling- something that wears on us every day, whether it be inflammation, digestion issues, chronic pain, fatigue, mental fog, depression... this is an age of the ailing.
By maintaining positive choices about the food we eat, we can facilitate our own healing process.
Here's where to begin: ask questions. If you are just starting the path to wellness through food, start with ingredients labels. Confused at all about what you're seeing on an ingredients list? Give the company a call and ask them what the ingredient is.
Visit a farmers market- talk to the farmers about what their food is, how it's grown, what they like, and most importantly, how they recommend you eat it! Some will have excellent cooking recommendations. Have kids? Bring them in to the conversation! Farmers love to talk to kids and spread knowledge of how to grow food to a new generation. Ask your farmers whether they grow organically (if they do, give them a high five- and buy their produce!).
Eat a lot of meat? Who raises that meat, and how do they treat the animals? You don't have to know how it's all done- there's a lot to learn. What we CAN do is ask questions- by knowing what to ask, you can find the answers that will help you decide where to spend your money.

"It will get easier, and I look forward to feeling better than I've ever felt."
It's the most important choice you can make in life. Take care of yourself, take care of this planet, and be the example for those you love to find their own path to wellness.
